another short story manifests
when a tickle like you
complicates my icththyo-
(from the belly-up) perspective,
you joke
about a navel approach, others have moved in
they dip a beak
to reveal a certain something,
common as the flight-plan,
of ducks jockeying for this.

Girls, you’ve seen your teeth shine in a mirror
while clacking them against his. True,
everything went wrong. Fumblng.
A picture that we carry, I say, “just a flame
that’s lost its glow.”
Along the sodden churls’ travels
girls confabulate.
